Jan Jackson Because music isn’t just worthy notes. It’s animalistic, ritualistic, shamanic, and multilingual. There are no terms of reference - no direction home. This speaks to those who want to listen. It’s answering the bounding box of your brain with the diaphanous cloud of the background radiation. It’s bonkers, yes. But beautiful, too.

"Stefan Neville's side (he of Pumice etc.) is a croaky electric guitar solo that chokes on its own tongue like a champ. The Doll is another noisesome New Zealander, one of whose stocks in trade is called diapercore. On her 'multi-instrumental' side there's moaning, trombonic tooting, long drawn aether slips and lots more bonkerism, all done at the same pace as The Stooges' "We Will Fall"."
